Quant Tape LLC ("QuantTape," "we," "us," or "our") operates the quanttape.com website and the QuantTape SDK. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your choices.
1. Information We Collect
Email addresses. If you join our waitlist or contact us, we collect the email address you provide. We do not collect passwords, financial data, or trading credentials through our website.
Analytics data. We use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to collect anonymized usage data including pages visited, time on site, device type, and approximate geographic region. GA4 may set cookies on your browser. No personally identifiable information is linked to analytics data.
Code you scan. The browser-based scanner on our Scanner page runs entirely in your browser using JavaScript. Your code is never transmitted to our servers. We do not collect, store, or have access to any code you scan.
CLI tool. The QuantTape CLI (installed via PyPI) runs entirely on your local machine. It does not transmit code, scan results, credentials, or any data to QuantTape or any third party.
2. How We Use Your Information
- Email addresses: to send product updates, early access invitations, and announcements related to QuantTape. We will not sell, rent, or share your email with third parties.
- Analytics data: to understand how visitors use our website and improve our content and user experience.
3. Cookies
Our site uses cookies set by Google Analytics 4 for anonymous usage tracking. You can disable cookies in your browser settings or use a browser extension to opt out of Google Analytics. No advertising cookies or third-party tracking cookies are used.
4. Data Retention
Email addresses are retained until you request removal. Analytics data is retained according to Google Analytics default settings (14 months). You may request deletion of your email at any time by contacting us.
5. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Request access to the personal data we hold about you
- Request deletion of your email from our waitlist
- Opt out of analytics tracking via browser settings
- Unsubscribe from emails at any time by replying with "unsubscribe" or contacting us
6. California Residents (CCPA)
If you are a California resident, you have the right to know what personal information we collect and to request its deletion. We do not sell personal information. To exercise your rights, contact us at the email below.
7. Children
QuantTape is not directed at individuals under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from minors.
8. Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services:
- Google Analytics 4 - website analytics (Google LLC, Mountain View, CA)
- Amazon Web Services - website hosting via S3 and CloudFront (Amazon.com, Inc.)
- PyPI - package distribution for the QuantTape CLI (Python Software Foundation)
We do not share personal data with these services beyond what is technically necessary for their operation.
9. Security
We take reasonable measures to protect the information we collect. Our website is served over HTTPS. Email data is stored securely. However, no method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of our website after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
